Departing by seaplane in the morning, not only will you enjoy a scenic flight over Perth city but you will reach the island in the short time of 20 minutes, as opposed to 1 hour and 45 minutes by ferry. This means you have extra time to explore the island after seeing it all from above. The flight to Rottnest Island is like any other airline flight. You will do a full orbit of both Perth city and Rottnest Island to ensure you see as much as possible while reaching the island in record time. With the flexibility to choose your itinerary on the ground, you can select many optional extras such as a skydive, a segway tour and even hire a bike for the day. After an enjoyable day on the island, your return is by ferry which includes a scenic cruise up the Swan River.
