Twenty-five minutes from the centre of Perth lies vineyards, cafes and restaurants stretched out along a lazy stretch of the Swan River.

Perfect for a day trip or something a bit longer, the Swan Valley is a must for any itinerary that gives you a couple of days in the West Australian capital.

The Swan Valley is the oldest wine-growing Region in Western Australia, and some of those earliest vineyards still exist today.

Distilleries have also been operating for over a century. There is a lively gin scene with several world-class operators.

Recently they have been joined by whiskey, vodka and other spirit makers.
