Heading North or South from Perth will deliver very different traveller experiences.

North of Perth is sandy with great empty beaches and smaller towns that used to survive on the crayfish industry.

Lancelin is the most visited of these towns and is a great place to spend some time. It will deliver a unique travel experience that is well worth doing.

Getting There

Lancelin is 90 minutes from the centre of Perth, much on the ever-expanding Mitchell Freeway that will deposit you on Indian Ocean Drive for the final section.

TransWA and Integrity Coach Lines both run services from Perth to Lancelin. The TransWA service leaves from East Perth and runs up the coast to Geraldton, stopping at the towns along the way.

Things to do

The dunes out the back of town have several operators hiring sandboards, quad bikes and ATVs, and it is enormous fund for a few hours.

Lancelin is very windy and is perfect for windsurfers. Surfers will also enjoy the regular swell.
