Kununurra

Kununurra is the gateway to the adventures of the East Kimberley.

This is a region of tranquil lakes, waterfalls and unforgettable national parks.

Kununurra sits on the banks of the Ord River, a site for fishing, paddling, boating, hiking and swimming.

The "dry" season between May and August is the best time to visit as the weather is cooler and it avoids the heavy rains and humidity of the "wet".

Getting There

East Kimberley Regional Airport serves Kununurra.

Virgin flies to the airport from Perth, and Air North flies from Broome and Darwin.

Kununurra is perfectly accessible by car, but the distances across the state are vast โ€“ 3000kms from Perth and at least a 33-hour drive.
