Horizontal Falls

David Attenborough has described the Horizontal Falls as "one of the greatest wonders of the natural world."

The large tidal movements in the North West provide the background to this unique natural phenomenon where the ebb and flow of each tide results in spectacular waterfalls.

Be warned this is not an area for swimming due to the presence of box jellyfish and crocodiles.

Getting There

There are only two ways to view this spectacular natural phenomenon: air or boat.

We can assist with both options.

Air travel can either be a scenic flight via plane or helicopter.

It is even more amazing to get up close on one of the boat tours that operate here.

Flights can run all year round, but the speed boat option only runs between March and November.
