Getting There

Most arrivals in Kalgoorlie will arrive by road.ย  You can choose a variety of routes depending on the time available and your appetite.

The Great Eastern Highway from Perth is the quickest route, but if you are an avid four-wheel drive fan, follow the mighty Canning Stock Route or Outback Way.ย  Both will be once-in-a-lifetime experiences but make sure you have done your research and understand the risks before attempting.

Both Qantas and Virgin fly from Perth to Kalgoorlie regularly, and this represents the fastest way to access the city.

Early morning departures and late afternoon return flights present the possibility of a full-day trip if time is limited.ย  The flight time is about one hour.

TransWA operates a coach service from Esperance to Kalgoorlie three times a week, and a train service runs from Perth called the Prospector.

The Indian Pacific trans-continental service stops in Kalgoorlie on its journey to and from Sydney and Adelaide.
