Kalbarri

location-img

Laidback Kalbarri is a favourite WA family holiday destination.

Located at the mouth of the Murchison River, it is known for staggeringly beautiful seaside cliffs and an abundance of wildlife, such as pelicans, dolphins and humpback whales.

There are lots of things to do in the water and on land.

You should also explore the coastal cliffs of the amazing Kalbarri National Park.

One of our favourite things is the Kalbarri Skywalk at night to view the stars as you have never seen before.
During the day, it provides views of the ancient Murchison River Gorge from its raised platform.

Getting There

Take the Indian Ocean Highway seven hours north from Perth to hit Kalbarri in your car.

You can also take the TransWA bus which deposits you in the town centre.

If seven hours in the car doesn’t appeal to you, then fly to Geraldton and drive north.ย  You can also catch the bus from Geraldton as a more cost-effective option than hiring a car.

Accommodation Options

Kalbarri has a well-developed tourism infrastructure, including great resorts and hotel accommodations.
