Jetty Cottage is a modest holiday home & while it is not waterfront it sits 300m from the shores of the beautiful Wilson Inlet, the boat ramp and jetty. Feed the pelicans at the end of the laneway or take a leisurely stroll or bike ride to the dramatic coastline and world class surf of Ocean Beach – so close that the echo of its crashing waves forms the background soundtrack to your evenings.. Launch your kayak or dinghy 300 meters from your front door and paddle to the mouth of Wison Inlet where it meets Ocean Beach, explore the Nullaki peninsula or more. Hike to experience the mesmerising ocean, inlet and southern coastal views atop Mt Hallowell, whose karri lined slopes plunge from the clouds to the ground via granite boulder lined walkways through the canopy undergrowth which begin just beyond your back garden..
Jetty Cottage is located close to the Bibbulmun Track – one of Australia’s most exciting long-distance, bush walking attractions. The Munda Biddi bike trail from Perth to Albany is also nearby.
Denmark has some of the most spectacular and diverse beaches on the West Australian coast. From wild beaches with big surf and strong currents to the sheltered bays such as Greens Pool which will make you feel as though you are swimming in nature’s own swimming pool.
Denmark has gained a reputation for quality wines with distinct characteristics from the Great Southern wine growing region. Popular wine varieties include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Rose and Cabernet Sauvignon. Most of the local wineries offer cellar door tastings and sales and wineries range from small boutique wineries to much larger companies.
